April 2, 2020 Virtual First Thursday
Life looks different right now but supporting business in Downtown Boise remains the same. The Downtown Boise Association is committed to supporting the businesses that make our downtown unique - under  any  circumstance. Please see details below:

We are promoting a virtual experience for April First Thursday rather than a destination experience.

Businesses have submitted their First Thursday listing to the DBA website as usual, but with an activity that encourages the public to offer their support and visit businesses “virtually.” Businesses have listed the promotions they have going on, and are telling the community all of the ways they can purchase goods and services – online, on the phone, private appointments, grocery stores where goods can be found, take out and/or delivery options, gift card purchases and other creative ideas.

“First Thursday is a beloved downtown event and we wanted to make sure to continue this event in a safe, fun way.” Jennifer Hensley, DBA Executive Director stated. “The downtown business community is endlessly creative and has come up with many avenues to enjoy their offerings. We’re excited to highlight these in a virtual event.”

The DBA will also host a Facebook post on Thursday evening during the event’s typical 5 to 9p.m. time slot asking the public to comment how they are partaking in the event for a chance to win a $50 Downtown Boise gift card.

Downtown businesses who wish to participate should add their event to the DBA website or email the DBA at  info@downtownboise.org .
