The Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and its safety partners invite you to a 10:30 a.m. news conference on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Louisiana State Police Training Academy. The event will focus on traffic, bike, and pedestrian safety during Halloween.

LHSC also will share statistics of Halloween motor vehicle crash injuries and fatalities from 2019-2023 in  Louisiana.


Speakers will include Lisa Freeman, LHSC executive director; Lt. Mindi Keith, LSP public affairs; Adriane McRae, P.E., DOTD highway safety section administrator; Dr. L. Mark Laperouse, medical director of emergency services, Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center; and Crystal Pichon, CEO of The Safety Place.
