ABOUT "HOUSEBOUND" UNBOUND:
Under normal circumstances, nationally and internationally renowned authors would have been gathering in person in
Columbia this weekend, April 23-25, for the fifth annual
Unbound Book Festival, which celebrates literature of all kinds through a number of author conversations, panels and special events.
However, after the 2020 event was canceled due to COVID-19, festival organizers have instead figured out how to bring some of the scheduled events and celebrated authors directly to you.
The result is "Housebound" Unbound, a series of literary conversations between select authors that have now been moved online where all are invited to join and watch.
The first installment of Housebound Unbound takes place this evening at 7:00 p.m., with additional livestream events taking place Saturday, April 25 and Thursday, April 30.

In "The Toynbee Convector," Ray Bradbury shows how extravagant liars can be prophets: show us your vision of the future, and we can make it happen. But they can also be Cassandras who try to warn us away from a terrible fate. In this conversation, Amber and Alexander will discuss how they conceive and construct multiple narrative futures, and how to avert or manifest them.
