The Town has updated its Eaglecrest FAQ to provide additional information and clarity following the staff presentation of the Financial Plan Amendment as proposed on June 24, 2026. Council anticipates that the project will have no impact to taxation and will remain self-funded through the sale of designated land.
As the project moves forward, the Town will continue to provide updates through its quarterly reporting on construction progress, land sales, market conditions, project costs and other key milestones, providing the community with a clear picture of the project as it advances.
The acquisition represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to deliver lasting community benefits, including protecting the Eaglecrest Golf Course, preserving approximately 40 acres of public parkland, refurbishing the neighbourhood’s iconic clubhouse, creating opportunities for new housing, and supporting potential future neighbourhood improvements related to traffic, parks, drainage and pedestrian connection.
