"These findings reinforce what we've long known to be true: Alberta job creators are struggling, and they need certainty and support as we navigate these challenging economic times," says Alberta Chambers of Commerce President and CEO Ken Kobly. "These numbers send a strong signal to government that any policies must do no harm to the business community. Otherwise, without new investment or job creation, our economic situation will get a whole lot worse before it gets better."
These findings are part of the Alberta Perspectives market research program—a multi-phase market research initiative conduced by the Strategic Counsel on behalf of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce. Survey one of the program garnered 714 business responses between May and June 2019, while survey two garnered 1,028 business responses between October and November 2019.
