BAY AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LEADERSHIP BAY COUNTY CLASS OF 2024 ANNOUNCES BRIAN'S HOUSE AS CLASS PROJECT

BAY CITY, MI – The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bay County Class of 2024 selected Brian's House as their class project. Brian’s House is a six-bedroom end-of-life guest home serving the terminally ill with a goal to make sure their guests needs, physical, emotional and spiritual support are provided during the end-of-life process. "This decision was driven by the strong emotional connection the class felt towards the organization and its mission. We are eager to get started!"said this year's class Project Manager, Adam Jankowiak.

This class of local leaders is charged with expanding the Emergency Exit landing and ramp to allow access for bedridden patients to enjoy the outdoors, create emergency access without needing to transfer patients to a wheelchair, and to allow for privacy and dignity to patients, guests and families during a time of loss. Jane Adams, President of Brian's House said "This project not only improves our emergency exit plan, it allows our guests to be wheeled outside in their beds and have the sunshine on their faces and enjoy the fresh air. The Brian’s House Board is so appreciative of the Chamber of Commerce and it’s Leadership 2024 for selecting our project!"

This project will also require some landscaping updates due to the expansion, such as the replacement of trees in the path of construction and lighting for the newly accessed walkway.

The Leadership class will also assist Brian's House with marketing support to help connect the community to the resources and services they offer.
