Kansas Chamber PAC Makes Historic Endorsement In
Attorney General Primary Race
Kellie Warren: Best Choice for Kansas and its Businesses

TOPEKA, KAN. - The Kansas Chamber Political Action Committee on Tuesday announced its endorsement of State Senator Kellie Warren in the 2022 Republican Primary race for Kansas Attorney General.

"After meeting with the three declared Republican candidates for Kansas Attorney General, the Kansas Chamber PAC Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Sen. Kellie Warren in the primary," said Jennifer Baysinger, the Chamber's Vice-President of Political Affairs. "Sen. Warren's proven to be a true champion for the Kansas business community in the Kansas House of Representatives and in the Kansas Senate. She is a leader on issues important to our state's economy and legal system."

This is the first time in the Chamber PAC's history it has endorsed a candidate in a primary election for a statewide office.

"The PAC's historic endorsement speaks to the urgency and importance that the Republican nominee not only be the candidate who best supports businesses but also who has a path to victory in the November general election," Baysinger said.

The Kansas Attorney General's office has 12 divisions, covering a wide breath of legal issues. Baysinger said the Kansas business community has great concerns whether the other declared Republican candidates, as attorney general, can adequately and effectively represent Kansas businesses and individuals successfully in court.

"Our state needs a chief legal advocate who is focused on Kansas and is dedicated to protecting our rule of law and ensuring a stable legal climate," Baysinger said. "We believe Kellie Warren is the best choice to be the next Kansas Attorney General for Kansas businesses and for our great state."

The deadline to file for the 2022 elections is noon on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
