We thank the community for its ongoing patience as conversations between the Town and the Qualicum School District continue.
We are exploring possible options to support community access to the Qualicum Commons, knowing the importance of the services provided. At the same time, we continue to assess the impacts of the building’s system failures, and the ongoing management requirements of the building as a whole.
There are a lot of complexities involved in exploring solutions that work for all parties, especially because the Town does not own the building.
We recognize the time-sensitive nature of this matter and want to assure everyone that efforts continue.
