The Passing of Cable TV Pioneer, Armstrong’s Jay Sedwick | |
Armstrong is sad to announce the passing of Jay Sedwick, its Chairman and a true Cable TV Pioneer. He died peacefully on Monday evening, January 1st, surrounded by his family.
Jay began his professional career as an Electrical Engineer at Pratt & Whitney after graduating from Carnegie Mellon University in 1957. At Pratt & Whitney, he worked at their Research and Development Center in Florida and was involved with developing technology used in the early days of the space program. In 1960, he returned to Western PA to work as an engineer at Magnetics in Butler, PA.

On May 18, 2023, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted a Report and Order that adopts certain robocall requirements for voice service providers. Among other requirements, voice service providers must respond within 24 hours to all traceback requests, block suspicious traffic upon FCC notification, and implement “know-your-upstream-provider” procedures. These requirements take effect on January 8, 2024. | |

In an announcement Foje said Pellegrini will lend further expertise to play "a key role" in Great Plain's continued growth.
