Medians in Ashland

Share your ideas for our medians! The City hopes to reduce staff time, maintenance costs and water use in our medians. In May, City Council and the Parks & Recreation Commission will have a joint meeting to discuss how to design and take care of our medians moving forward. Share your ideas before this joint meeting.

City of Ashland Housing and Building Community video

Housing & Building Community

This video highlights affordable housing efforts through the Community Development Department’s Housing Production Strategy. Working with Trusted Homes, a community land trust, the program shares ownership with homeowners, removing the cost of land from the price of their homes. We have a deep commitment to making Ashland an affordable place to live. Special thanks to Jessica Therkelsen of Trusted Homes.

The video was made possible through the dedication and expertise of Postscript Strategy and the Southern Oregon University Digital Media Center. Portions of the drone footage were filmed by our GIS Department. View the complete Accomplishments Short Film.

AVISTA reminds you safe digging is no accident; call 811 before you dig.

Before outdoor digging, call 811 at least two (2) business days ahead. This free service sends a professional locator to mark underground utility lines within a two-foot tolerance zone.

Hand digging within this zone is required for precise location. Remember, private utilities may require a separate request. Knowing utility line locations prevents injury, damages, service disruptions and potential fines. Every digging job, including planting trees or building fences, requires a call to 811 or visit digsafelyoregon.com.
