Medica Cost Plan

Dear Medica Cost Plan Client,

We are reaching out to let you know that the Medica Cost Plan, that you purchased through our agency, is no longer going to be offered, as of 01/01/2024. You may have recently received a letter from Medica stating this as well.

Medica did not choose to pull this product from the market voluntarily, however due to the increased Medicare Advantage plan sales in your area, they are no longer allowed to offer the Cost plan. Medica is still able to offer the Cost plan in other states, and even still some counties in Nebraska, just no longer where you live.

We are pleased to let you know that Medica will be releasing a similar product for 2024, that is meant to fill the same needs as your Cost plan currently does. However, as agents, we are still waiting to learn about all the new 2024 Medicare products and plan details. Due to Medicare marketing rules, we will not be able to share all the new product details and plan information until 10/01/2023.

Medica will be hosting educational seminars and enrollment events across the State of Nebraska this coming Fall. These events will be designed to educate you about why Medica was forced to pull the Cost plan, as well as help you enroll in a new Medicare plan for 2024. In addition, GTA Insurance Group will also be hosting some educational events. No matter if you re-enroll at a Medica or GTA event, you will remain our client, and thus we can support you in the future. Once able, we will share these event dates with you!

Rest assured, we will do everything we can to make sure you have an affordable Medicare plan that still suits your needs in 2024 and beyond!
