Disability History Month Provides Opportunities for Reflection and a timeline of hard-won accomplishments and laws by so many who came before us! The 1954 Brown v Board of Education is crucial for all of us today to the small but fierce WA champions who secured the 1971 WA special education rights, to the landmark 1990 Individual with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). A big part of October is the National Disabilty Employment Awareness Month celebrating Value and Talent!
