Latest News From "The Fab Four"
Mary Kay Andrews is enjoying her book tour events which have been great so far. She is so grateful that so many of you are turning up, buying the book (dammit!), and leaving online reviews. In addition to a great time last week in Cleveland with the rest of the Fab Four, MKA counts herself lucky that so many author friends have turned up at or participated in some of her events so far including Emily Giffin, Chris Swann, Lynn Cullen, Paula McLain, Diane Chamberlain, Mary Beth Whalen, Sarah McCoy, and Kristin Harmel. The Homewreckers was reviewed in the Tampa Bay Times in a piece that has been picked up in lots of small papers around the country. MKA was also pleased to see a feature and interview in the Greenville Journal, a feature in Woman’s Day, and to do an interview with Fox 13 Tampa Bay News at Noon. She was also tickled to be featured in this Coastal Living feature about what they’re calling the “Nauti Auntie” aesthetic. Her book tour continues through next week. Get details HERE.
What MKA is Reading: She and Meg are engrossed in the audiobook of The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave while road tripping on book tour.
Kristin Harmel had a great week visiting readers in Greenville, SC (M. Judson), Cleveland (F&F Live with the Cuyahoga County Library System), Tallahassee (Midtown Reader), Memphis (novel.), Fairhope, Ala. (Page & Palette), Tampa (Oxford Exchange) and St. Petersburg (Tombolo Books with MKA!). She is so grateful to all of you who came out to events, or who bought THE FOREST OF VANISHING STARS in paperback during its first week of release. Now she’s off to Tuscaloosa, AL, on Saturday for the BookStock Book Festival (with Ernest & Hadley Booksellers), and she can’t wait to hang out with her F&F sisters again next Friday, May 20, with Booktowne on the Jersey Shore!
What Kristin is Reading: Just finished The Circus Train by Amita Parikh (a debut!) for a blurb
Kristy Woodson Harvey had so much fun in Cleveland with many amazing readers and her Friends and Fiction friends. Spent the weekend at home for Mother’s Day celebrations with her family. Kristy is heading off to meet with her publishing team in New York next week before heading down to the Jersey Shore for the F&F Live event! Stay tuned to her instagram to follow along for the fun!
Patti Callahan Henry is still recovering from an incredible few days in Cleveland, OH, and Lancaster, PA. It is amazing to finally be with readers, librarians and booksellers again – they are the lifeblood of what we do! And did you hear that Surviving Savannah is the BooksaMillion Book Club pick? You can join the discussion! She just finished the last edits on the new book and keep your eye open for the title and the pub date coming soooon. She is going to be with MKA in Birmingham on Saturday, and wouldn’t it be fun if you showed up? :-) Get event details HERE.

F&F is Now on LoCo+!
Come join Friends & Fiction on LoCo+, a brand-new streaming platform that launched just a few days ago. The platform specializes in locally produced content and will eventually include channels from all over the country, but this is your chance to get in on the ground floor with us; we're part of the platform's rollout, and we'd love for you to be there, too. Eventually, it will be a paid subscription (like Netflix or Hulu), but if you sign up now, you can get the first month free--and you can see past and current episodes of Friends & Fiction as well as lots of other great, independently produced content, including the "Good News Lady" show from our friend (and former F&F guest) Daryn Kagan. Sign up for your free trial here and check it out: https://golocoplus.com/.
