ARUN SHENOY IS A GRAMMY® AWARD NOMINATED ARTIST, SONGWRITER & MUSIC PRODUCER. He is best known globally for his solo productions as well as for his work with the star studded Contemporary Jazz supergroup, THE GROOVE PROJECT.

The 45 year old Singaporean has received significant critical acclaim over the years for his work. American music critic Jonathan Widran has noted Shenoy’s work as some of the most compelling, heartfelt and life affirming music he has heard.

ARUN exploded onto the international stage out of relative obscurity with a GRAMMY® Award nomination at the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards for his debut world fusion production titled RUMBADOODLE in 2012.

“BLISS”, Shenoyʼs follow up single from his Indian World Fusion project was launched by the Recording Academy via a Worldwide Exclusive First Look at GRAMMY.com in 2013.

He formed THE GROOVE PROJECT in Studio City, California as a Contemporary Jazz group in 2016. The group has released 3 full length studio albums A STAGEY BANK AFFAIR (2016), VOLUME 1: FLIGHTS OF FANTASY (2020) and VOLUME 2: THE WINDS OF CHANGE (2021).



He is the founder of Narked Records, a boutique record label; and Shenoy Audio, an audio engineering & musical instruments firm specialized in pro-consumer headphones, and his signature range of Shenoy guitars.

THE 55TH ANNUAL GRAMMY® AWARD NOMINATED, FULL LENGTH STUDIO ALBUM OF ARUN SHENOY released on August 30, 2012 explores a bold new perspective of the gypsy rumba flamenco, combining elements of the traditional art form with a myriad of popular music forms. Recorded almost entirely live across the Globe, this record is an explorative journey, doodling across genre boundaries as we know it today, creating a unique and true masterpiece along the way. An Arun Shenoy signature. The title track "RUMBADOODLE" paid homage to the Afro-Cuban Rumba with an accompanying animated music video set in Havana.

ARUN HAS RECENTLY ANNOUNCED THE BEGINNING OF THE NEXT CHAPTER OF THE RUMADOODLE SAGA, 10 years after the release of the original with a Global Music single and accompanying music video slated for release in summer 2023.



The new chapter looks towards Italy. Titled "AN EVENING IN NAPOLI", the music will transport the listener to a time when the Spanish held control of Naples where it remained an important source of economic and military power for the Spanish Crown. During this period, many Spanish people passed through Naples, and they managed to implant their culture, language, music and even ways of thinking in there.
