Emmy Award winning journalist, Lionel Moise, is co-anchor of the CBS 2 Chicago Morning News  weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Moise came to CBS 2 Chicago from WLTX - News 19 in Columbia, South Carolina, where he co-anchored the weekday morning news since 2012. He has been credited with enterprising the Online News Minute, Random Acts of Kindness and Lionel's Tech Tips, which became regular segments on the station. In 2014, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley declared August 19 as Random Acts of Kindness Day in South Carolina as a result of the impact his reports made in Columbia.

Prior to his time in South Carolina, Moise was a reporter and producer with WXIA-TV in Atlanta, GA where he won two Emmy Awards for his work.

Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Lionel has been committed to academic excellence and community service since a young age. A leader on his college campus, Moise was elected President of the University of Miami Student Government where he served as the liaison between the 10,000 undergraduate students and the university community.  In 2010, Moise earned his Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism and Psychology from the University of Miami.

After graduation, Lionel put his leadership skills into action when he joined the William J. Clinton Foundation as a Haiti Policy Analyst. A proud Haitian-American, he developed a framework to provide support to Haitian amputees after the devastating earthquake. He oversaw all correspondence between President Clinton and Prime Minister Bellerive and members of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission (IHRC) while managing logistics for the IHRC including planning of board meetings in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

In 2015, Lionel earned his MBA from the University of South Carolina where he also served as an adjunct professor in the School of Journalism. Soon thereafter, he changed his own narrative by moving to Chicago and joining CBS2 Chicago.

Clearly Lionel Moise brings substance to every environment, be he also brings style. The sartorially sharp news anchor is the Founder and CEO of Sock Concierge, a sock subscription service that provides its clients with fly and fashionable socks each month.

Lionel is a proud member of  Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Boys II Men is honored to present Lionel Moise with the 2016 Changing the Narrative Award at the 9th Annual Phenomenal Man Awards on Thursday, February 18 at 6:02 p.m. at Piper's Banquets in Aurora.
