MEET THE CHC ASSISTANT TREASURER
Hima Bindu Kondapalli, BHMS, CCH
1. Hima, please tell us about yourself. What led you to becoming a homeopath?
My interest in homeopathy bloomed at a very tender age. Being born into a homeopathy user family, I have been using homeopathy since my childhood days which triggered my fascination toward this holistic healing modality. My passion for homeopathy developed gradually through the years as I witnessed how homeopathy rendered unique cures, providing healing not just suppression. I graduated with a gold medal as a homeopathic medical doctor (BHMS) from NTR University of Health Sciences, India in 2004, and I have been a nationally-certified classical homeopath (CCH) since 2016. My client care emphasis is on prevention and health management through classical homeopathy and lifestyle modifications. I have been promoting homeopathy through my published articles, artwork, and awareness sessions.
2. Please tell us about your work as CHC Assistant Treasurer. What have you learned about the CHC during your service?
My role as CHC Assistant Treasurer mainly involves bookkeeping - maintaining accurate financial records via expense monitoring and processing and preparing monthly expense reports and quarterly reports. I also help with auditing and budgeting.
During my service, I have learned more about the costs associated with keeping the CCH credential valid. Each year during recertification, I, along with the other CCHs, add value to the baseline credential we achieved when first certified. That baseline credential is centered in the CHC exam, and certification and accreditation processes that support the exam have associated costs. Recertification only covers a portion of the costs, which makes financial and volunteer service donations very important to all CCHs. After working with the CHC finances, I value my credential even more, knowing all of the funding and effort that goes into keeping my CCH strong.
3. What is your vision about the future of Homeopathy?
My vision about the future of homeopathy is to enhance 3 A’s - Awareness, Acceptance, and Advancement - “To ensure homeopathy as an accessible alternative system of medicine, globally”. In my opinion, all homeopaths should promote and participate in R & D studies whenever possible. We should make the public understand that homeopathy is and has been an advanced scientific method of treatment since its origin.
4. What message would you extend to CHC certificants, homeopaths and the greater homeopathic community?
My message to all of my fellow homeopaths - let’s carry on the flame of homeopathy for generations to come.
My message to CHC certificants and candidates - Never give up - certification and maintaining credentials do matter in the long run.
My message to the greater homeopathic community - “Aude Sapere” (Dare to be wise), being wise in choosing a safe, natural way of healing - body, mind & spirit altogether.
. Anything else you would like to share?
I am honored to be a part of the CHC. I thank everyone at the CHC and appreciate their work for homeopathy. Let us all work together to forward homeopathy.
