Caleb is a first-year tutor celebrated for extraordinary enthusiasm and adaptability. Initially matched with one student, Caleb soon was tutoring a small group of students on a variety of subjects. Those students admire Caleb’s patience and knack for explaining difficult material in ways they can understand.

We celebrate the Kennedy-Longfellow School for its innovation and enduring commitment to harnessing the community to benefit students. The K-Lo brings volunteers from local companies into the classroom and gets students visiting the companies. Today, K-Lo teachers host more CSV volunteers and programs than any other school in Cambridge.

Dan has been a Reading Buddy at Fletcher Maynard Academy for 25 of the 27 years he has worked at Sanofi/Genzyme. Dan served on CSV’s Board from 2015-2019 and was the Board Vice President and President for part of that time. This year Dan stepped up to be the Sanofi Reading Buddies Coordinator and he also joined the Sanofi NetPals team as a mentor for three 7th graders at Rindge Avenue Upper Campus.

A big shout out once again to our amazing event sponsors this year! We appreciate their support for our programs and volunteers.

Please join us for the last Showing Up Right for Youth Workshop of the school year. This workshop will build awareness of our own personal and social identities, examine ways that privilege and marginalization show up, contextualize identity and power in mentoring relationships, and engage with real-life scenarios to build our toolkit for interrupting inequities.
