CMS student named National Junior Beta Club President; School recognized as National Junior Beta School of Distinction

Carrollton Middle School has not only been named a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Distinction but is also proud to celebrate one of its students, Liberty Thomaston, for being selected as the National Junior Beta Club President. 


Liberty, an eighth-grader, was recognized on Sept. 10, at the Carrollton Board of Education meeting for her outstanding achievement.

Sullivan receives statewide honor

Congratulations to Missy Sullivan, Carrollton City Schools Support Services Parent Mentor, on receiving the prestigious Georgia Parent Mentor Partnership's Phil Pickens Leadership Award. This statewide honor recognizes her exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to bridging the gap between home, school, and community to improve outcomes for students. Missy's passion for supporting families and her outstanding contributions to the GaPMP make her truly deserving of this recognition.

Tuggle receives SEC Extra Yard for Teachers

Carrollton High School Class of 2021 alumna and University of Georgia basketball player De'Mauri Flournoy recently recognized CHS teacher Jamie Tuggle as part of the "Extra Yard for Teachers" initiative, a program through the College Football Playoff Foundation. Each Southeastern Conference (SEC) school selects one student-athlete representative, and UGA chose former Trojan De'Mauri Flournoy. De'Mauri had the opportunity to honor a teacher as part of this recognition, and she chose Tuggle. Thanks for all you do to support students, Ms. Tuggle! Watch the clip featuring Tuggle HERE!

CES swim team shines at state meet

Over the summer, Julia Huddleston, Juwon King, and Abby Wrixon represented our school at the Class B State Swim Meet, collectively winning an impressive 10 events! Congratulations to these students on their accomplishments!
