Your monthly update for March 2018

They say when March roars in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb. And we say "baaa, baaa" can't come soon enough! With all these crazy storms tearing down trees and taking out the power in many places including ours, the office was closed twice just last week. While Danielle and I were able to work from the quiet of our homes, Sam and Dana, our newest addition, had rambunctious toddlers to entertain. Their sweet little boys enjoyed a little playtime in the snow.

Read on below to learn more about Dana, as she has joined us as Marketing Manager to engage and develop fun, new opportunities for our clients and to cultivate relationships within the community. Stay tuned for a exciting and resourceful updates to our website, newsletter and more!

It would be so helpful if you could tell us what events and services are helpful or interesting to you . Just inbox me or reply to this email. We have some fun new ideas planned for the spring and hope you will join us as we get out into the community!

Stay warm!

Market Commentary
February was a rocky month for the stock market. A mid-month plunge of roughly 10 percent left the three major U.S. indices down at the end of the month, though they were able to make up some of the loss. The Nasdaq Composite lost 1.74 percent for the period. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and S&P 500 Index fared worse, losing 3.96 percent and 3.69 percent, respectively.

Meet Dana Caro,
Marketing Manager
There’s a place that I visited once that always stands out in my mind when I think of where I’ve been and dream of what’s ahead. It’s a quaint little village that sits high up on a cliff, carved by the wild ocean waves of the western Atlantic waters. The people are warm and hospitable, opening their doors to young travelers with a glass of Sherry and slice of home-baked heaven. It must be the breathtaking expansive view of this side of the world that keeps them humble; it certainly awestruck me and left an indelible imprint on my soul. The place is Sagres, the southwestern-most point of Europe and if you’re lucky enough, on a clear day you can see as far as Gibraltar.

I always think about this place and that time of my life, what it felt like to look out over the vast blueness of sea and sky from that vantage point. Life could not be more different now, nor could I be any happier. If you asked me a few years ago to tell you about myself, I would have said I love to travel. I thrived on the adventure...

What’s in a name? Everything. Help us come up with a name for this newsletter and you could WIN $$!

We think our newsletter should reflect the essence of who we are at CURO, our success and supportive efforts for our clients and community, and how we distinguish ourselves from other financial service e-newsletters already in your inbox. With the addition of our newest team member, Dana, we are launching a redesign of our communication channels like the e-newsletter, collateral materials, and soon, the website.

Over the next month, we will be collecting submissions for a newsletter name. The top three choices will be voted on in April, via our Facebook page and announced in the May newsletter. You may submit suggestions by email to Dana Caro . The winning submission will be awarded a special CURO gift, along with a $25 Visa Gift Card . You do not have to be a client to enter, so please share this with your friends.

Thought for the Day
According to a  report  from WalletHub, 33.1 million residents of the U.S. claim Irish ancestry (that’s about 7 times the entire population of Ireland ) and many more people, just over half of all Americans, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, spending $4.4 billion dollars for just one day! That's a lot of green beer!
