They are hitting the road to celebrate the launches of MKA's The Santa Suit (9/28), Patti's Once Upon a Wardrobe (10/19) and Kristy's Christmas in Peachtree Bluff—with Kristin joining as a moderator. Bookstore of the Week
Warwick's
We have partnered with Warwick's in beautiful La Jolla, CA as our featured independent bookseller—not of the week, but for the next FIVE WEEKS! That's right, Warwick's will be the F&F bookstore partner for the upcoming three book launch episodes (MKA’s The Santa Suit tonight, Patti’s Once Upon a Wardrobe on 10/20 & Kristy’s Christmas in Peachtree Bluff on 10/27) plus all the other episodes in between. Warwick's is the country's oldest continuously family-owned and operated bookstore, so we see them as an ideal partner for our mission! We are going to keep encouraging you to shop local and shop small by buying from Warwick's over the course of the next five episodes of F&F. MARY KAY ANDREWS This week MKA declared it not just fall, but Christmas sweater weather! And she celebrated the launch of THE SANTA SUIT this week by getting her Pfizer booster shot before hosting festive launch parties in Atlanta and Savannah. Her tour this week takes her to some of her favorite indie bookstores in Greenville, SC, Seaside, FL, Fairhope & Wetumpka, AL and then back to Atlanta. Check out her full book tour HERE.
PATTI CALLAHAN is popping her champagne and celebrating the announcement that Once Upon a Wardrobe is an INDIE NEXT PICK!!!!!! She is counting down the days until the release of Once Upon a Wardrobe, packing for tour and readying her talks! This SNEAK LISTEN of the audio version is so beautiful. She’s thrilled BookTrib and Augusta Chronicle both picked her book for Fall Must Reads. She is so excited for tonight’s launch with MKA and Debbie -- there might be a weird hat involved.
KRISTY WOODSON HARVEY spent her gorgeous fallish weekend with her parents, and her mom helped her pack for the CHRISTMAS IN PEACHTREE BLUFF tour, which begins October 18, one week before the October 26 launch. And she gets to hug Mary Kay! And Kristin! And Patti! And Meg! Her sweet boy’s tenth (How is he ten?!) birthday is this weekend, so she’s looking forward to cake and taco bars. (And a house full of dirty, smelly but happy little boys fresh off a fishing boat!)
KRISTIN HARMEL is counting down the days (it’s 25, in case you were wondering) until she gets to meet up with Mary Kay, Patti, and Kristy to chat with them -- across Florida in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Punta Gorda and Sanibel -- about THE SANTA SUIT, ONCE UPON A WARDROBE, and CHRISTMAS IN PEACHTREE BLUFF, three of her favorite books of the year. She’s also looking forward to celebrating the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World this Friday with her husband, son, and mom!

and ultimately exciting.
Around the middle of every month, it seems, I glance at the calendar on my office wall and realize I haven’t turned the page. Which might be a metaphor for my life.
I’m change-averse, you might say. Maybe it’s because I’m a “woman of a certain age,” which is a polite way to say I’m old and set in my ways. And yes, I still have an AOL account, please stop calling me a dinosaur.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac tells me that summer has ended and fall has begun, as of September 22. Yet, still, I cling to OPI’s Strawberry Margarita, my summertime toenail polish of choice, putting off that moment when I switch over to my favored autumnal shade of Cajun Shrimp.
People of all ages resist change...
