Dr. Zanthia Reddish, aka “The Ball Mom Doc”, is an educational consultant,
certified professional life coach, speaker and author whose passion is to teach, learn
and empower others. As a lifelong learner and NBA mom, Dr. Zanthia combined 18
years of experience as a school principal and several years as a program administrator
for an AAU youth basketball program to become founder and CEO of Impoweredd
Educational Consulting. Utilizing her rich background in educational administration,
child development, and athlete management training, Dr. Zanthia provides personal life
coaching and professional development to teachers, administrators, and parents of
amateur and professional athletes that is research-based and steeped in faith with a
focus on the power of relationships.
In addition to presenting at conferences and being featured on several podcasts,
Dr. Zanthia authored a book ALLEY-OOP! The Ultimate Assist for Parents of Athletes in
which she shares information and tips for parents of athletes who want to raise
champions on and off the court/field. Moreover, Dr. Zanthia is the founder of Pro-Moms
Lifeline, an exclusive, private network for mothers of professional athletes to have a
safe place to connect and get the social and emotional support, tools and resources
they so desperately need to navigate the unique complexities of being a pro-mom. She
also wrote an e-book entitled Rookie U: Thriving the First Year which accompanies a
course designed to prepare and support parents as they navigate through the first year
of supporting their professional athlete sons/daughters. Her e-book Life PreservHER
accompanies her personal growth life coaching program that helps moms walk in their
purpose, passion and power as they support their athletes in doing the same. And
somehow, Dr. Zanthia also finds the time to oversee the non-profit Reddish Family
Foundation alongside her husband, Bob, who is also co-founder of Impoweredd.
Dr. Zanthia is the proud mother of two awesome adult sons, NBA player,
Cam(eron) and D-1 basketball player, Aaron. She holds certifications in athlete
management and life coaching as well as five degrees, including a doctorate of
education degree from Immaculata University, two master’s degrees from HBCU,
Cheyney University, and an undergraduate degree in education from Temple University.
Dr. Reddish resides in Atlanta, Georgia and provides training and support to schools
and families throughout the nation.
