Join us this evening for a Meet & Greet with FLC's new Associate Pastor, Pastor Rusty Brace! There will be an ice cream social from 6-8 p.m. in the Gathering Area at FLC Mon., Sept. 29. Pastor Rusty will begin his position at FLC Wed., Oct. 1.

Let me introduce Pastor Charles R. Brace, but don't call him Charles or Chuck, that was his father; instead, call him: "Rusty" or "Pastor Rusty". 

Rusty is a native of Minnesota, being raised amidst the long departed cornfields of Eden Prairie.  He was a mechanical engineer for 17 years before entering the seminary.  

He and his wife, Lynette, now reside in Eagan. They have two adult children living at home: Roxi, who returned from teaching in Torreon, Mexico, and Charlie who is at Gustavus studying art. In addition to his Masters of Divinity at Luther Seminary, Rusty has BAs in Speech-Communications, Journalism and World Religion received from Augsburg College in 2005 and 2006.  

 Rusty enjoys reading, camping, hiking, canoeing, sports, cooking, wood working and movies.  Rusty feels strongly moved by the Spirit to be an active leader in the church, seeing his many interests and life experiences as ways to connect with a wide range of people across many age groups in meaningful ways.

 As a second career pastor, he understands the perspective of people who are on fire with Christ and can also identify with those who are skeptical. He has a healthy sense of humor and a passion for teaching and sharing God's message.
