We completed Week 2 of Learning On the Go family engagement, and the weather cooperated. This program is so powerful because it gives families the chance to connect with trusted community partners in "their" neighborhoods. These connections help increase families' awareness and access to opportunities.
During our engagement sessions, family specialists and partners model positive parent/child interactions to promote the best outcomes for young children. Seeing families happy, engaged, and lingering to further build relationships is a sign of success.
These interactions allow EPEL and its partners to build trust, gain insights, and receive authentic feedback to improve the early childhood system. EPEL continues to reflect and ask, "Did we make progress towards achieving change this week?"
We can't wait to see how families PLAY, LEARN, GROW and THRIVE in Week 3!
