#1 Meet Jenni Whipps - New Community Closet Program Coordinator

Jenni is our new Community Closet Program Coordinator and will be running the Community Closet as well as the Mobile Community Closet.

She is a recovery coach and community advocate. Her goal is to help others identify their purpose and internal worth.

Jenni is a lifelong resident of Marathon County. As a mom and grandma, she embraces life's joys and challenges with faith and determination.

Jenni enjoys the outdoors in every Wisconsin season IF she has the right gear! She is looking forward to uplifting community members through the Community Closet resource.

#2 Community Closet Gets a Spring, Summer Style Refresh!

Our Community Closet seasonal style transition took place the week of March 24. It wasn’t an easy job, but thanks to all the volunteers that helped we got it done!

Volunteers helped clean, moved shelves, and stocked racks with new styles for the season.

The Community Closet opened to the public in July 2023 and has seen an increase in need since opening.

"It's a great resource for community members to get clothing or shoes to help offset expenses so they can pay a bill or buy basic need items," said Community Closet Program Coordinator, Jenni Whipps.

Volunteers are crucial to operating the closet on a daily basis, but even more so when the closet goes through a seasonal transition.

There were 25 volunteers from 11 different companies helping to transition the closet. In addition, members from Women United and Emerging Leaders also teamed up to help out.
