LAKES REGION CAMERA CLUB

Congratulations!!!

Members' score well in the 2023 NECCC winter competition

We are allowed 8 entries - 4 in the Nature category and 4 in the Open category. Wayne Justason and Kristin Hand each won an HM for their images pictured below.

Wayne Justason -

24 points HM

Nature Division

Kristin Hand - 23 points HM Open Division Infrared image taken at Fort Cass, Tennessee,

Fort Cass was the embarkation point for many of the Cherokee when they were forced out of their homes in the 1830's along the Trail of Tears. {The Cherokee Nation lost over 4,000 people which was one-fourth of their original population and refer to it as "The Trail Where We Cried"}.  Kristin states she was very moved to be standing on the spot where some of her ancestors faced such an arduous journey.

Traci Hoyt's image "Small World" garnered 20 points.
