Dear Carondelet Family,

As I begin my incredible journey serving Carondelet I am pleased to share our athletics vision that represents a new day for Carondelet and its future. Our school is at a critical junction to build upon its cherished legacy, rich foundation and raise the expectations for our programs, our services and our adult leadership.

Providing an outstanding student-athlete experience is not only a goal, it is a requirement. Our students deserve the care, innovation and leadership that we provide across other programs at Carondelet. We will be intentional in representing the holistic mission of service, our academic fortitude and the athletic prowess that we will cultivate even further.

To make this vision a reality, we will actively recruit talented coaches and leaders who will have a positive impact on our students and their entire experience. We are well on our way. We have already enlisted an industry expert to serve in the near term as our Director of Athletics. Tom Williams has an extensive background within intercollegiate and high school athletics that emulates the very best practices and support of student-athletes. His ability to develop coaches and student/professional athletes is very impressive. Tom is eager to meet the Carondelet family and will have the opportunity to do so at upcoming school functions and or course, athletic events. Tom will have offices both at the new CAC as well as on our main campus so that he may get to know our students and families across all sports.

We have also begun making coaching appointments for this fall based on our new athletics vision that ensures a new level of expectation for our coaches and their commitment to provide the best experience for our student-athletes. Coaching positions for all other sport seasons will be posted soon as we look to round out our team.

In closing, we are very excited to announce our slate of head coaches for the 2018 fall season, including the addition of an extremely talented new member to the Carondelet team, Cat Arroyo. Cat will be coaching Water Polo as well as serving in the role of Director of Operations for Athletics, working directly with our Athletics Director supporting all of our teams with logistical and procedural requirements. Cat has extensive professional experience at the NCAA level and with the USA national team. Cat will join us this week after completing her coaching duties for the USA Junior national team at the Pan Am Games.

Returning coaches for the 2018 fall season are:
  • Volleyball Head Coach, Varsity - Jerry Mix
  • Cross Country Head Coach - Ashley Chavez
  • Golf Head Coach - Rick Eisenhour
  • Cheer - Morganne Wood
  • Dance - Suzanne Smith
  • Tennis - currently reviewing candidates
We have a wonderful opportunity to build upon the Carondelet legacy and provide our students with an outstanding athletics experience that will last a lifetime. I am so pleased to be joining the school at this exciting time and I look forward to seeing you at fall events supporting our amazing students.

Thank you.
