Meet Rabbi Kliel Rose,
Kehillat Beth Israel's new spiritual leader

Kehillat Beth Israel (KBI) recently welcomed Rabbi Kliel Rose, who brings years of rabbinic experience from congregations across North America. In an interview with the Ottawa Jewish E-Bulletin, Rabbi Rose discusses his journey to the rabbinate, what drew him and his family to Ottawa, and his hopes for building an open, vibrant congregation rooted in Jewish tradition, learning and belonging.

From the Vault: Lest we forget
our brave men and women

As Remembrance Day approaches, we honour five Jewish Ottawa veterans who served in different branches of the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. From the front lines to military communications and nursing, their stories reflect the courage, sacrifice and diverse contributions of the nearly 600 Jewish Ottawans who served. We remember their service and legacy.

The gift of a Jewish future:
Leaving a lasting legacy

The Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation’s Life & Legacy Plus program helps individuals and families ensure the Jewish organizations and experiences they cherish remain accessible for generations to come. Through planned charitable gifts, community partnerships and estate-planning support, legacy giving offers a meaningful way to give back and invest in the future of Jewish Ottawa.

New Federation program inspires

next generation of philanthropists

The Jewish Federation of Ottawa has launched Genesis, a new donor recognition society designed to bring families together through philanthropy, tzedakah and community involvement. Created for Ben Gurion Society alumni with children under 18, the program encourages parents to pass on Jewish values, introduce children to charitable giving and inspire the next generation of community leaders.
