CDABO’s 44th Annual Meeting to Be Held in
Savannah, Georgia, March 8-11, 2024

The 2024 annual scientific session of the CDABO will take place at Westin Savannah Golf Resort & Spa, nestled on the north river of Savannah River. Savannah is easily accessible from Savannah International airport and Westin is a short but scenic water taxi ride from downtown Savannah.

'Navigating Tough Challenges’ will be the unifying theme of the meeting. Our Scientific chair Sandy Bigman and General chair Robert Vaught have invited speakers Sebastian Baumgaertel, Frank Celenza, Hugo De Clerck, Katie Klien, Ashok Kothari, Pradip Shetye and Roger West who will focus their presentation on interdisciplinary mechanics while treating complex cases. 

Savannah meeting will provide an enriching professional experience along with wonderful spring family vacation. 

Registration opens in early October and is open to all Board-certified Orthodontists.

A LOOK BACK AT COEUR d'ALENE
The College of Diplomates of American Board of Orthodontics completed highly successful meeting July 14-17, 2023, under the presidency of Linda Rigali, General chair Bruce Goldstein and Scientific chair Jae Park.

Over 250 college members, their spouses and children convened at the Coeur d’Alene Golf and Spa resort with beautiful views of lake and mountains.

Papers by Jay Bowman, Greg Huang, Rooz Khosravi, Ki Beom Kim, Neal Kravitz, Jae Park and Nikhilesh Vaid were presented on PLASTICS- science behind aligners, new advances, hybrid treatment and in house aligners.

Bruce Goldstein was recognized with Samir Bishara award of Merit at the presidential dinner. Jane Wright was installed as an incoming councilor along with 2023-24 CDABO college president Ashok Kothari.

CDABO AT AAO IN CHICAGO

To enhance board certification, the College of Diplomates of ABO asked all orthodontic graduate programs to select their best 3 student cases for display during AAO annual meeting at Chicago.

Over 200 AAO attendees enjoyed viewing the 120 well treated cases submitted by 39 orthodontic programs.

UCLA took first place followed by University of Minnesota and Medical University of South Carolina.


Cases from University of California-San Francisco, Marquette University, West Virginial University, University of Rochester, University of Buffalo, A.T. Still University, University of the Pacific, University of Iowa, Virginia Commonwealth University and Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency were awarded Honorable Mentions.
