James Marshmon

James Marshmon is a dedicated higher education professional who serves as the Director of Student Development and Campus Life at Berkeley College’s Woodbridge and Woodland Park campuses. With a strong commitment to student success, James brings a wealth of experience in leadership development, student engagement, and student support services.

As Manager of the Berkeley College Foundation Food Pantry in New Jersey, James leads efforts to combat food insecurity and support students’ well-being through access to essential resources. He coordinates volunteer opportunities each semester for students, staff, and faculty at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, where he empowers students to give back and stay engaged with the community. His leadership style emphasizes empowerment, compassion, and the creation of inclusive environments where students can thrive both personally and professionally.

James is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, and seeks to instill in students those same values of service, leadership, and civic engagement. He organizes military-focused volunteer efforts throughout the year, including sending care packages and holiday cards to servicemembers through Operation Gratitude, organizing an annual toy drive for St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, and placing wreaths at veteran graves on National Wreaths Across America Day.

James has been recognized by NJBIZ with its Veterans in Business Award (2023), and by Berkeley College with the Extra Mile Award (2023) and the BE Exceptional Award (2021).
