Here's How It Works:
You sign up for the two-day Conference Pass (this is a must). Then, you have the option of adding courses to your registration. We now offer two options for course education. You can attend courses for continuing education credits (CECs) or at a lesser rate for educational purposes without obtaining CECs. The CEC and non-CEC fees are listed for each course.

Senator Bob Smith
Mr. Smith was elected to the Senate in 2001 and re-elected five times. He served in the Assembly from 1986 to 2002. He sponsored legislation reforming the Garden State Open Space Acquisition Program to focus on water resource protection, preservation of the Highlands, providing a continuing source of revenue for New Jersey state parks, and setting in place measures to improve water quality in the Barnegat Bay, including comprehensive fertilizer controls. He also sponsored two constitutional amendments, approved by voters, to provide stable funding for open space, farmland and historic preservation and to dedicate natural resource damage litigation awards to restore the environment. Mr. Smith has served on Piscataway’s Environmental Commission and Planning Board. He was a councilman from 1977 to 1980 and mayor from 1981 to 1986.

Sean Moriarty, NJDEP Deputy Commissioner
Sean Moriarty serves as Deputy Commissioner to Commissioner Shawn M. LaTourette. Sean leads DEP’s internal legal team on all matters of regulatory compliance and rule-making and oversees the Office of Enforcement Policy. He also is a member of the Commissioner’s executive team, providing input on priority initiatives that include climate change and environmental justice. Previously, Sean served as Chief Advisor for Regulatory and Legislative Affairs. Before assuming this position, he was the Director of the Office of Legal Affairs after several years as a Regulatory Officer with the Bureau of Legal Services and Stewardship for the DEP’s Green Acres Program. Before joining DEP, Sean represented the department as a Deputy Attorney General.

David E. Haymes, Assistant Commissioner, Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment Program
David E. Haymes serves as Assistant Commissioner of the Contaminated Site Remediation & Redevelopment program under DEP Commissioner Shawn LaTourette. Appointed to this post in July 2022, he leads a staff of environmental professionals and managers who oversee the remediation of contaminated sites in the Division of Enforcement, Technical & Financial Operations, and the Division of Remediation Management. David began his career with the Department of Environmental Protection in 1989, and has served as a geologist, a technical coordinator and a section chief. He held the position of Executive Assistant to the Assistant Commissioner of the former Site Remediation & Waste Management Program from 2010 to 2017 before becoming Director of the Division of Enforcement, Technical & Financial Support, and Administrator of the New Jersey Spill Compensation Fund in 2018.
Assistant Commissioner Haymes will be a featured speaker during our LSRPA Celebration & Awards on Thursday, June 1st.
