hile he was serving with the TV Committee of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).
Stan was born to missionary parents in Havana and grew up in Cuba, Spain, and Morocco. He began working with Christian media in 1961 at KGEI radio (FEBC) in San Francisco, broadcasting via shortwave to Latin America.
After earning his B.A. degree in Spanish at San Jose State University, he spent two years in Colombia as a Peace Corps volunteer with the national educational TV project, training teachers how to utilize TV lessons in their classroom.
Stan worked as Media Director for international evangelist Luis Palau for 13 years, traveling to evangelistic crusades and festivals, and producing Palau's popular radio programs, call-in TV shows, and documentary films.
After obtaining his M.A. from Regent University, Stan co-founded Features International Ltd., a television production company, in Chesapeake, Virginia. In 1989-90 he field-managed an evangelistic “media blitz” for the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua, while living with his family in Guatemala.
In 1995, Stan began a 20-year career as a senior producer for CBN News. He founded the weekly Christian World News program and its Spanish equivalent, Mundo Cristiano.
Stan has taught radio and TV production seminars in a dozen countries. He served as president of the Hispanic NRB and later founded the Hispanic media association, ComunicadoresUSA (CUSA). He is a member of the Board of Directors of NRB, COICOM, CUSA and the Christian News and Information Institute, Inc.
Stan and his wife Rhoda have four adult children and reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
