multilingualagentsNeed a French- or Spanish-Speaking Real Estate Agent?

Kara Johnson  has been speaking French since the age of five when her father, Wayne, enrolled her in a French immersion and bilingual program at Washington International School in Georgetown. Kara went on to earn a BA with honors in French and a Master's degree in French Language and Civilization in Par is where she lived for several years.  Kara speaks Fre nch with native-level fluency and is your go-to person if you need a French-speaking agent.

Ignacio Sagarminaga grew up in Georgetown speaking English and Spanish fluently in a bilingual home.  His parents were both from Spain, and he spent summers there throughout his childhood.  His mother and two of his sisters now live in Madrid and own an olive ranch and estate in Seville where Ignac io loves to spend his vacations.  Ignacio is your go-to person if you need a
Spanish-speaking agent.

W ayne Johnson grew up in Massachusetts where both his parents were bilingual in English and Swedish.  His father was born in Gothenburg, Sweden's 2nd largest city located on the West coast across from Denmark.  Wayne first studied  Swedish at New York University and later spent three summers at Gothenburg University however Wayne says he never met a Swede who didn't speak perfect English.

colorfulblockDC's Most Colorful Street: 12th Place NW
Charleston, SC, may have its famed Rainbow Row along East Bay but DC has 12th Place NW.  This tiny one-block-long street between W Street and Florida Avenue NW in the U Street neighborhood is one of our favorite blocks in the city. Lined on both sides of the narrow street with a total of 60 colorful 2-story row houses, these homes are a mere 1000 square feet or less and only 11 ft. wide. Most were built in 1890 and have just a living room and a kitchen on the first level opening to a charming but small patio and one or two bedrooms on the second level.  A few homes have roof decks with stunning city views.

Located just steps from the U Street nightlife and Metro station, the homes of 12th Place are painted in vivid colors and worth exploring in person. In the past year three homes have sold in the $682,000 - $729,000 range with two currently under contract. 2234 12th Pl which was listed at $735,000 was totally gutted within the past year or two and has been beautifully renovated with contemporary finishes but with exposed brick intact. Click here for a virtual tour. To receive property updates for this unique block or for a tour of 12th Place, contact Wayne or Kara.

MarrakechMarrakech, Morocco: A Desert Oasis
