Ricardo Flores Executive Director

Kwofi Reed: Program Officer/Underwriter

Kwofi Reed, who has served as Program Officer/Underwriter at LISC San Diego the past six years, has been selected to join LISC’s national lending team. With the move, Kwofi’s expanded duties now also include underwriting for cities throughout the western United States, including San Diego.    Happily for us, he will continue to be based in our offices.   In his new role, Kwofi will help coordinate LISC’s $250 million in annual lending to help support affordable housing, economic development and community projects in LISC’s 30-plus urban markets throughout California, Arizona, Washington State and Texas.    To learn more about LISC’s investments and funding assistance programs, contact Kwofi at: kreed@lisc.org or 619-541-8015.

Bryndan Stueve: Program Officer

Bryndan Stueve is our newest Program Officer whose responsibilities including oversight of our Neighborhood Economic Development and Financial Opportunity Center (FOC). Prior to joining LISC, Bryndan supervised the Microenterprise program at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in San Diego. In that role, Bryndan directed program activities to provide business training, financial coaching, and lending services to hundreds of entrepreneurs annually. In addition, as a partner in the City Heights Economic Development Collaboration, Bryndan assisted in multiple community development initiatives, including this year's launch of the Fair@44 street market in City Heights. Karina Velazquez: Office Manager/AmeriCorps Program Administrator

Karina Velazquez joined LISC San Diego in July as Office Manager/AmeriCorps Program Administrator. Karina joins our team from the Diamond Business Association, where she developed numerous programs and special events as program manager. A graduate of UC Berkeley with a double major (Chicano Studies and Political Science), Karina is also a former LISC AmeriCorps member who brings first-hand experience to the program. Karina also is an active member of several community boards including Encanto Neighborhood Community Planning Group, the City of San Diego's Bicycle Advisory Committee, and the San Diego High School Foundation, where she served as the school's ASB president her senior year. Alexis Hamilton: Chief Operating Officer, LISC Small Business Lending

A LISC Affiliate, New Markets Support Corporation , has established a presence in our San Diego office. Alexis Hamilton serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of LISC Small Business Lending. In her role, she manages and oversees all loan closing, post-closing, and servicing operations and activities. Previously, Alexis was SVP Chief Operations Manager at US Bank for six years, where she managed the SBA portfolio of $1.9 billion. Originally from Colorado, Alexis graduated from Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, CO with a Bachelors in Mass Communications .
