Meet the PFA Team!

Pine Forge Academy is excited to announce new teammates to the PFA family! New faculty and staff will begin on July 5, 2017 or August 1, 2017. Each new faculty and staff member is uniquely gifted to help the Academy achieve our mission, vision and strategic initiatives. Learn more about our new team members at www.pineforgeacademy.org! Internal faculty and staff assignment changes and/or any additional new hire announcements will be made over the course of the summer.

Jarrett Roseborough
Choir and Music Director


A native of Atlanta, GA,  Jarrett Roseborough serves as Director of Choral Activities at Pine Forge Academy. He comes with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education with a concentration in Vocal/Choral Music from Oakwood University, a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University, and 8 years of teaching music from K-12 to collegiate instruction.

Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy Jarrett Roseborough served as Director of Choral Activities at Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Assistant Minister of Music at Decatur Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Assistant Choral Director at Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, Choral Grad Assistant at Georgia State University, Lead Keyboardist and Assistant Choir Director at Trinity AME Church, Accompanist and Assistant Choral Director at Griffin High School, Music/Choral Director at Bethune Middle School, Music Coordinator for Oakwood University, Music Education Intern for Huntsville City Schools, and student conductor for the Oakwood University Aeolians.

In 2017, Jarrett Roseborough accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of creating an environment of choral excellence in which students learn of their full capabilities as choral singers. His goal is that students might witness the God-filled and awe-inspiring moments that happen when they decide to give their best effort in time and talent for the glory of Christ. Students who matriculate through the choral program at Pine Forge Academy will also be able to be a great musical contribution to collegiate choral music program that  they decide to join.

Beyond his primary role, Jarrett Roseborough would also like to develop a strong fine arts program at Pine Forge Academy. This program would allow a platform for vocal/instrumental performance as well as spoken word and oratorical recitation. This fine arts program will create an avenue for students, who wish to pursue a career in the arts, to stand toe-to-toe with artists in the rest of the world and not just do well, but excel!


Eldridge Edgecombe
Business Manager
A native of Bronx, NY, Eldridge Edgecombe serves as the PFA Business Manager. Eldridge is a Certified Public Accountant and has earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Toledo. Eldridge has more than 40 years of practical hands-on accounting, finance, and business experience. 
 
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Eldridge served for 11 years as a Senior Vice President for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago.
 
In May of 2017, Eldridge accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the intent of re-organizing and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the business office and parental financial interactions.
 
Beyond his Business office responsibilities, Eldridge will also be responsible for Food Services, Personnel, Transportation and Development.


Mrs. Addriene Rhodes
Dean of Instruction and 
English Teacher


Mrs. Addriene M. Warfield-Rhodes, is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia and currently serves as the English teacher and Dean of Instruction at Pine Forge Academy in Pine Forge, Pennsylvania. She is the oldest of two children and a product of Christian Education.  Mrs.  Rhodes is a graduate of Pine Forge Academy and Andrews University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a specialization in American Literature. She is currently pursuing a Master degree in Instructional Leadership at Southern Adventist University.
 
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Mrs. Rhodes served as the English and Journalism teacher at Miami Union Academy in N. Miami, Florida. As a daughter of a minister and an educator, Christian Education has been instilled in her from an early age.   Mrs. Rhodes has been an educator for over fifteen years.  She has been an administrator and educator and has worked in the public and private education systems.
 
In 2017, Mrs. Rhodes accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of providing dedicated teaching to young people and provide a passion for education and a commitment to optimizing student and school success.
 
In her spare time, Mrs. Rhodes enjoys reading, singing, knitting and learning. Mrs. Rhodes is married to Mr. Clifton Rhodes of Dallas, Texas.  They are the proud parents of two young men, Phillip Warfield 21 years old and Christopher Rhodes 11 years old.  Mrs. Rhodes loves the Lord and she loves her students.

Ramon Perez
Managing Food Services Director 
A native of Arroyo, Puerto Rico, but spent the majority of his life living in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania. Ramón will be serving as the Managing Director of Food Services. He comes with  27 years of experience in the hotel and restaurant food service industry.

Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Ramón served in multiple kitchen positions including:  pantry chef, line cook, banquet chef, sous chef, and executive chef. In addition, he has served in the  following capacities: personal caterer for Governor -Jack Markell's - (DE) 2009 victory  celebration, Basciani Family mushroom company, preferred chef for PFA & AEC special events,  Fitness Camp consultant, and kitchen supervisor for the Haitian Camp Meeting.

He is also the 3-time winner of the Kennett Square (PA) Mushroom Festival and has had his  mushroom soup featured and sold at the PA State Farm Show by (Buona Mushrooms Family).

In 1993, Ramón joined the AEC team, at Pine Forge Academy, with the help and guidance of Pastor  Patrick O'Mara and the late Mrs. Debbie Boise (nutritionist in charge of food services for PFA).  Mrs. Boise requested his presence and service for the Elders' Retreat Weekend - this would serve as  his performance review to determine his capabilities for the upcoming Camp Meeting. He  successfully completed the weekend, by overseeing the kitchen for all meals (that's over 1,500  plates prepared from scratch and served!). He was then invited to return, as a cook, under the direct  mentorship of the late and beloved Ms. Thomas. After her passing, Ramón was given the  opportunity to assume the position of Director of Food Services, which included: cooking, serving,  ordering food and kitchen items, creating menus, and supervising kitchen staff.

On May 9, 2017, Ramón joined the PFA team with the goals of teaching the students about the  culinary arts and educating them about the nutritional options, expanding the variety of vegetarian  and vegan offerings.


Khandi Cooper 
Science Teacher


 
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Khandi Cooper serves as Biology Educator. She comes with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Adventist University of Health Sciences (formerly Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences) in Orlando, Florida and a Masters of Education in Curriculum & Instruction with a concentration in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) from Concordia University-Portland.
 
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Khandi served as Middle School Teacher at Elim Junior Academy in St. Petersburg, FL. Her students competed in the Adventist Robotics League in Collegedale, TN and received 3rd place in Core Values and the "Rising Star Award." Khandi is active in youth ministries, she served as M.C. Strachan Youth Federation Secretary, Masterguide, Adventurer Club Director and Bible Bowl Coach in Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (Florida).

In 2016, Khandi Cooper accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of starting a Robotics team to compete at the Adventist Robotics League in Sacramento, California.


Mithsouka Mathieu
Director of Admissions and Registrar
A native of Brooklyn, Mithsouka Mathieu serves as Director of Admissions and Registrar. She comes with a Master of Health Administration with 5 years of experience working at the Registrar's Office of Washington Adventist University.
 
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Mithsouka served as a Recruiting Coordinator for a Health Care Agency.
 
In 2017, Mithsouka accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of assisting our youth in following the will of God for their lives.
 
Beyond her primary role, Mithsouka also will potentially begin community outreach programs and guide students to their calling.








Courtney Brown
Mathematics and STEM Robotics Teacher

A native of Jamaica and resident of the Turks and Caicos Islands, C. O'Brien Brown serves as Mathematics Instructor. For the past ten years his professional experience in education has included serving at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. He has earned an Associates of Science in Information Science, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and a Master of Arts in Religion from Northern Caribbean University. 

Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, C. O'Brien served as a high school Math and Bible teacher, Registrar and Technology Officer for an International School and an instructor of undergraduate lecture courses.

In 2017, C. O'Brien accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy with the hope of advancing the mission of the school and helping students to develop a love for mathematics.


Kohren Joseph
Science Teacher
A native of Trinidad and Tobago and a Pine Forge alumna (c/o 2010), Kohren Joseph serves as Science Teacher (Biology). She comes with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakwood University. She also completed one year of medical school at St. George's University.
 
Prior to coming to Pine Forge Academy, Ms. Joseph served as an after school and summer school math instructor. While in medical school, she also served as a Histology facilitator for student-led study groups.   
 
In 2017, Ms. Joseph accepted the call to join the team at Pine Forge Academy. She has hopes of inspiring students to discover a love for the sciences and to obtain a clear picture of how science applies to everyday life.
 
Beyond her primary role, Ms. Joseph will also supervise students during events and programs. She hopes to assist in various extracurricular activities at the academy.
