Dr. Beth Durodoye starts as Heritage University's new Vice President for Academic Affairs

Dr. Beth Durodoye recently joined Heritage University as the Vice President for Academic Affairs as part of the institution’s ongoing strategic growth and commitment to academic excellence.


Durodoye serves as the university's chief academic officer, overseeing academic programs, faculty development, accreditation and strategic academic initiatives. 

She most recently served as Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education at Montana State University-Northern in Havre, Montna, a public institution with a mission and scale like Heritage University. Click on the link below to read the full story.

Heritage University advances student success and faculty excellence through new leadership

Heritage University has appointed two accomplished educational leaders to strengthen student success, faculty development and higher education research.

Dr. Latara Lampkin will serve as Director of the Ross Institute for Student Success, while Dr. Gloria Jones-Dance has been named Director of the Center for Intercultural Learning and Teaching (CILT). Together, they will help advance Heritage's mission of supporting first-generation, rural and historically underserved students while expanding the university's leadership in higher education.

Heritage University Master of Social

Work Program earns national accreditation

Heritage University’s Master of Social Work (MSW) program has earned accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education’s (CSWE) Board of Accreditation (BOA), affirming the program’s commitment to preparing highly qualified social workers to serve communities throughout Washington state and beyond.


“This accreditation is a tremendous achievement for Heritage University and a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff,” said Heritage University President Chris Gilmer. "This accreditation attests to the quality of our MSW program and the value of a Heritage education."

Fang Xu takes Heritage's voice to Capitol Hill

Fang Xu represented Heritage University at the Special Education Legislative Summit in Washington, D.C., where she advocated for increased federal funding for special education, highlighted the critical shortage of special education teachers in Central Washington, and championed support for Heritage's graduate students. 

She also strengthened relationships with congressional offices and returned with new resources and funding insights to help advance special education across our region.
