Prostate Cancer Warrior, Us TOO Board Member and Treasurer, and SEA Blue Co-Chair
"I am a prostate cancer survivor and am very committed to Us TOO, and the need to better inform men and their loved ones about the options that are available for those newly diagnosed with this disease; and to support those who are dealing with the emotional and physical effects of the disease. I believe the SEA Blue event is a great opportunity to promote awareness of the number of people affected by prostate cancer. It also brings people together who are related through a common cause. In the short term, I would hope that the event held in Chicago this September (Prostate Cancer Awareness Month) would gain attention and be covered by the media to raise awareness of the need for and availability of prostate cancer support groups around the country. I would hope that someday, in the not too distant future, SEA Blue will be held in all major cities across the country and will raise awareness nationwide for the need to provide support and education for all men and their families who have to deal with prostate cancer."
