  3. Deep Teal: Rich and luxurious, deep teal adds depth and drama to any space. Use it as an accent wall or incorporate it into your decor to make a statement while maintaining a sense of elegance.
  4. Subtle Neutrals: Beiges and greiges are evolving to include subtle undertones of pink, lavender, and blue. These updated neutrals are perfect for creating a light, airy feel in spaces like entryways or dining rooms.

Why February Is the Perfect Time to Paint

  • Beat the Spring Rush: By tackling your painting projects in February, you can get ahead of the springtime surge in home improvement activity. Painters often have more availability, and you’ll have your home ready to enjoy before the warmer months arrive.

  • Perfect Weather Conditions: February’s cooler temperatures are ideal for indoor painting. Paint dries more evenly in moderate conditions, and you won’t have to battle the high humidity of summer.

  • Refresh Your Space for Spring: A fresh coat of paint not only rejuvenates your walls but also sets the stage for seasonal decorating. Imagine your home filled with vibrant spring florals, accented by the perfect backdrop of 2025’s trendiest hues.

  • Brighten Winter Days: Adding a splash of color to your home can lift your mood and energize your space during the final stretch of winter. It’s a wonderful way to shake off the winter blues and invite a sense of renewal.

Staff Spotlight

Meet our Sales Rep: Ric Desciscio

At 65 years young, I’m far from ready to slow down. Energetic, happily married, and endlessly curious, I find joy in traveling, fishing, golfing, and cooking. My wife, Jodi, and I have shared 41 wonderful years together (at least I think it’s 41!), and we’ve raised two amazing daughters—Chelsea, 31, and SJ (formerly Sarah), 26. Our family vacations are my happiest moments, filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories.

The Path to Painting

My journey into the painting world started out of necessity. At 21, Jodi and I were eager to buy a house but needed a few thousand dollars for a down payment. A friend of mine owned a small painting company and offered me a job. It was there I learned the ropes—painting, spraying, estimating, and the art of customer interaction.

After a few years, I realized my skills and labor were enriching someone else, so I took the leap, got my license, and started my own company in the early '90s. When the economy crashed, I pivoted to another passion—cooking. Managing restaurants like Gianni’s, Tuscan Oven, Bushwhackers, and Westshore Pizza was fulfilling but demanding. The long hours took a toll on my family and me, so I transitioned back to my roots in the painting industry.

About nine years ago, I answered an ad for a sales position. That’s when I met Ron, who saw potential in me, and I’ve been part of the Presto Painting family ever since.

What Keeps Me Going

After nearly a decade with the company, what I love most hasn’t changed. Meeting new people, walking them through the painting process, and identifying solutions to challenges keeps me engaged. I also enjoy collaborating with general contractors to bring projects to life. And, of course, the Friday lunch meetings with Ron—approximately 400 and counting—are a highlight of my week.

A Life in Paint: Building a Career and a Family

For 32 years, I have had the privilege of sharing my life with my wife, Laura. Together, we’ve raised our son, Jackson, who is now 23 and pursuing his love for baseball. In 2023, I retired after a 27-year career with Sherwin-Williams, and we made the exciting decision to relocate from Paducah, Kentucky, to sunny Tampa, Florida. These days, I enjoy cheering Jackson on at baseball games, attending other sporting events, spending time outdoors, traveling, and perfecting my grilling skills.

My journey in the paint industry began when I was just 19 years old, working for a local paint company while I pursued my college education. By the time I was 21, I had started my own residential painting business, which gave me valuable hands-on experience and insights into the industry. At 26, I transitioned into sales with Sherwin-Williams, where I built a rewarding career over nearly three decades.

Now, after one year and three months with Presto Painting Services, I can confidently say this role has been a fulfilling new chapter. The best part of my job is working with a fantastic team, building strong relationships with our customers, and collaborating closely with the talented paint crews who bring our projects to life.
