Congratulations, 2022 Grant Recipients!
We are excited to announce our 2022 Grant Recipients!
In 2022, United Way of Northeast Georgia will invest $800,000 into our region through Community Impact Grants. In total, 30 programs will receive funding in 2022.

All grant recipients serve in one of our three focus areas: basic needs, early childhood success, or workforce development. These grants are from January - December 2022.

We are proud to continue funding our 2021 Grant Recipients through December 2021, and partnering with even more nonprofits, community members and local organizations throughout the next year.

When we build up our community, we are all stronger.
Let's do this. Let's LIVE UNITED.
Spotlight on: Businesses UNITED
United Way of Northeast Georgia loves to see collaborations of all kinds. Supporting the community can come in many forms, including local businesses supporting one another. Recently, the Athens UPS Distribution Center felt the support of fellow businesses during its United Way campaign week, receiving Powerade from the local Coca-Cola Bottling Company and water from Golden Pantry to make sure the UPS drivers were hydrated during the heat of summer.

The UPS Distribution Center in Athens celebrated the launch of its United Way campaign with morning gatherings featuring grant recipients, partners and our Director of Development, Elizabeth Earl.

These local businesses show what it means to LIVE UNITED.
Board Spotlight: Alicin Hendricks
Alicin Hendricks, a business development manager at Jackson Spalding, has been a Board member and Marketing Committee member since 2019. A Grady College graduate, Alicin has spent her career in Athens, previously with The World Environmental Organization and Athens Banner-Herald before joining Jackson Spalding.

Outside of her work, Alicin is an active member of the community, serving as a Board member with various nonprofits. She is also a former member of the Classic City Roller Girls, where she used her skating talents on the track and, when off the track, used her communication skills to serve as the team's Media and Community Outreach Vice President.

Thanks for your Board service and helping communicate great work being done in the community, Alicin!
