Hello!

In this issue, we introduce you to the performer playing Penelope in our next show, The Penelopiad, we make the final audition call for the season, we brag about the work our staff are doing outside of our theatre and remind those who bought a single ticket to Heathers: The Musical, that they can use the cost of that ticket towards upgrading to our full season subscription!

Meet Penelope

The incomparable Amanda Cordner plays the lead role of Penelope in our next production; Margaret Atwood's The Penelopiad.

Amanda graced the Hart House Theatre stage back in 2013 in the production of The Wedding Singer and we are pleased to welcome her back in this powerful role. For the last year Amanda has been touring her solo show Body So Fluorescent across Canada and in the US. Body So Fluorescent premiered in Toronto during the 2018 SummerWorks Festival and won the Jon Kaplan Spotlight Award. Amanda has been seen on stage recently in Featherweight (Toronto Fringe 2018), Divine (SummerWorks Festival 2017), Private Lives (Pure Carbon) and the newest season of Baroness von Sketch.

HER INSIDE LIFE, a World Premiere Directed by our very own Andrea Wasserman

Some of you may remember our 2015 world Premiere of George F. Walker's We the Family or even our 2008 production of Criminals in Love. George and Andrea have teamed up again for another world premiere featuring George's signature style and black comedy.

Low Rise Productions presents an installment in George F. Walker's Parkdale Palace Trilogy, HER INSIDE LIFE. Featuring a professional cast of Canadian icons and Walker's signature style, this show promises to leave audiences in stitches while exploring today's prominent social issues around mental health and care-giving.
