Viera Charter School Breaks Ground on 46,700 SF Expansion with RUSH Construction, Inc.
​ Space Coast Daily : " ​Viera Charter School hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Nov. 7 marking the start of the school’s [46,700 square foot] expansion. The Viera Cha​​rter School expansion site of 4.6-acres is adjacent to the current kindergarten through eighth-grade school which services 1,054 students. "
​​RUSH Construction, Inc. is the Design-Builder for the expansion and remodel of the Viera Charter School Campus. The new expansion will consist of a 2-story building that will include 24 classrooms, as well as a gymnatorium and a new cafeteria. ​Site design includes additional parking, a running track, soccer field, baseball field, and a plaza that students can use during lunch​, a​s well as a new landscaping design.
Meet RUSH Facilities President Bob Dillow in SpaceCoast Business
Designing and building a facility with an eye for what it will take to maintain it enhances the overall value proposition of the project. RUSH Facilities President, Bob Dillow, joined the RUSH Family of Companies to do just that.​ Dillow enjoyed a 32-year Navy career that included 30+ years of managing repairs and operations on Nuclear Submarines, Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers, and Support Facilities. The move he made to facilities management outside of the military was the next logical step. 

RUSH has learned that working with a client to design a building or renovate an area to serve their needs is challenging. Often, clients do not understand what is involved in maintaining a facility after the work is complete or how to make design changes on the front end that will help lower maintenance costs in the future.
