His work has spanned interdisciplinary research on the impacts of climate hazards such as temperature and weather extremes, air pollution, drought, and flooding; developing data tools for emergency response, environmental monitoring, surveillance, and planning; and creating resilience strategies for use by public health agencies and communities.
Shubhayu has also served as an author and committee member for the last three U.S. National Climate assessments and is a founding member of the Global Heat Health Information Network.
As Tracking California's new Executive Director, Shubhayu is committed to amplifying the implementation of community-engaged climate resilience programs and making environmental health data accessible and actionable through partnerships. The program will continue to build on the trust among community partners and recognition of scientific integrity it has earned over the years.
On a personal note, you will never hear Shubhayu complain about ‘too much’ soccer, music and chocolate.
