Pharmacy Engagement Representative

Hometown ~ Corpus Christi, TX

My Core Values ~ Persevere in Faith, Love and Hope

My core values are directly in line with my Christian faith. I intentionally strive to be reflective of kindness, grace and respect in speech, behavior and actions toward all people and do my best to maintain a positive mindset cemented in hope.

My Family Background ~ I am a product of an Army veteran father and a Neonatal RN mother. My childhood was strict, church-centered, structured, educational and fun. My brother and I often were let loose to build forts, fish, hunt and learn how to cook Texas BBQ.

I spent my teen adolescent years involved in cheerleading, soccer, beauty pageants and church outreach activities. My parents have passed on from this life to eternity, and one of the most precious moments of my life was caring for my terminally ill mother until her final breath.

I have two beautiful daughters who have blessed my existence since they both took their first breath. I am a doting and immensely grateful mother to have been afforded such wonderful daughters. I hope for the best for their future.

I also share my life with my beloved grand-puppy, Ms. Pretzel P, and I often take on dog-sitting duties.

Working at American Pharmacies ~ I am so very blessed to be a part of American Pharmacies. To be able to work for an organization that shares the same professional values of excellence, integrity and transparency is humbling and exciting. I get to be numbered among the most competent and committed professionals in the industry.

I am developing new skills by working with advanced analytical tools and resource technologies that enhance our ability to serve members, helping them achieve their goals. As someone once said, “You cannot compete where you do not compare." It is a privilege to work for an organization that is ahead of everyone and is committed to advocacy, innovation and profitability!

In My Spare Time ~ I am working toward completing a master’s degree in theology. I have the honor of mentoring single mothers every week to help shape these women into becoming spiritually, emotionally and financially healthy. There are many days I spend with my daughters and grand puppy enjoying all that nature has to offer.

I enjoy reading, digging in soil, professional and personal enrichment activities and serving my community in the many organizations, groups and charities I am a part of. I am also proud to serve as the Dean of Debutantes for the Ladies of Camellia Social Club, where we support college-aged young women in developing their professional and personal skills, enhancing emotional intelligence, and embracing modesty and feminine etiquette in today’s culture.

The Future of Independent Pharmacy ~ My hope for the future of independent pharmacy is for each independent pharmacy to not only have a strong voice in legislation but to be the primary voice influencing regulations and guidelines. It’s time for independents to reclaim control of their industry. I also hope that every pharmacy embraces and masters AI-driven technology to remain relevant and, most importantly, profitable.

Fun Facts About Me You May Not Know ~ I am a former flower shop owner, and while I was a part of an industry that celebrates all things pink and lace, I’m a tomboy at heart. I’ve rescued several pit bulls and placed them in carefully vetted, loving homes. I’ve also been told that my Texas chili could be a contest winner!
