Austin Chapter

Our  mission

The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) was established to fulfill the need to cultivate the next generation of leaders in the construction industry as well as the association both at the local and national levels.

The purpose of the CLC is to act as a conduit for participants to network, exchange ideas about work and the industry, serve local communities and continuing education which includes both professional development and leadership skills. Our goals:

  • To be an open forum to exchange ideas
  • To be an entry vehicle into AGC to promote new member involvement
  • To foster a strong network among peers
  • To create a foundation for future development of the industry
  • To discuss the most important issues and provide feedback to AGC leadership
  • To provide leadership skills
  • To provide a mentoring program with established officers and committee members
  • To structure AGC and the construction industry for the coming centuries
  • To network with similar organizations in the industry

Are you a young professional in the Austin area construction industry?  |  Are you looking to enhance your construction skills?  |  Do you enjoy expanding your network and meeting new people?  Then CLC Austin Chapter is for you!

Current CLC Members:
  Interested in maximizing your membership?

If you are a current member of CLC looking to get more involved this year, in addition to attending quarterly happy hours, education and community service events, you might also consider serving on a CLC subcommittee. Serving on a subcommittee is a great way to get your ideas heard and to help improve and maximize what CLC has to offer its members. Subcommittees include: Professional Development, Membership, Networking, and Community Service. For additional information on the subcommittee or to express interest in serving on a subcommittee, please contact any one of the steering committee members listed below.

Another great way to get more involved and get you and your company noticed is by sponsoring a CLC event. If you think your company might be interested in sponsoring an event, or for additional information on sponsoring, please contact the Marketing and Networking Chair, Caroline Hall, at [email protected].

Your  2016 Steering Council

The CLC Steering Council was formed to introduce young professionals in construction to the AGC. Currently there are over 40 CLC chapters across the country with this same purpose. We, the Steering Council for the Austin Chapter CLC, are excited to keep the organization going with your support and participation. Here's a little bit about us.

Her career has been mostly in marketing for large General Contractors, but she also worked as a Document Control Manager on a large industrial project in British Columbia. In addition to being the 2016 Chair, Tamara is also on the CLC National Steering Council, and an active member of SMPS Austin Chapter.
