Brought to you by our partners in the Peninsula Library System, all are invited to hear authors of books that celebrate diversity and belonging. Tune in to one of five virtual visits, where the authors will speak about their work, their books, and how we can all unite against hate.

Christine Day is a citizen of the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe. Her middle grade reader books include: I Can Make This Promise, The Sea in Winter, and She Persisted: Maria Tallchief. With We Still Belong, Day assures readers that even with all the very real problems they may face, they are worthy, their voices matter—and they belong.

Savala Nolan
Savala Nolan is the author of Don’t Let It Get You Down: Essays on Race, Gender and the Body. She is a Professor at Berkeley Law and regular keynote speaker and panelist on social justice issues including implicit bias, structural racism, understanding Whiteness, and the importance of social justice work for all lawyers.

Ali Kamanda
Ali Kamanda is an award-winning filmmaker and social entrepreneur from Sierra Leone, West Africa. His children’s picture book, Black Boy, Black Boy was written to inspire Black boys to imagine all the great things they can do while celebrating remarkable moments from Black history.
