Product Group Roundup

Congrats to Our New Product Group Leaders

ISEA's product groups recently held leadership elections to determine which members will serve as Chairs and Vice Chairs through 2024. Some current leaders volunteered to continue in their current roles, while some product groups are excited to welcome new first-time leaders.

We are grateful to all who dedicate their time and expertise to ensuring these insightful groups drive their agendas forward, helping to develop and refine safety equipment standards and promote the vitality of the safety product categories.

Fall Protection: ASSP Z359.14 Effective Date Pushed to August

The effective date of ANSI/ASSP Z359.14-2021 (Safety Requirements for Self-Retracting Devices for Personal Fall Arrest and Rescue Systems) has been moved out from next month to August 2023. After this date, manufacturers will be required to conform to this latest revision of the standard.

Sheila Eads, President & CEO of ERB Industries, retired last month after nearly 28 years in her role. We are beyond thankful for her 20+ years of partnership and engagement with ISEA, during which time she participated in product groups, contributed to strategic planning sessions, and served on the Board of Trustees for a decade, including two years as Chair.

About her time as a member of ISEA, she said, “ISEA has been an essential and exciting part of my work life. It opened me up to what’s happening in Washington, and I met, worked with, and became friends with wonderful intelligent people who came together with the united goal of protecting workers."
