Academy for Nonprofit Excellence: Virtual Funders Forum
 
Meet local foundation funders as well as corporate representatives and development officers at the Funders Forum on Tuesday, September 28.

Connect with key organizations that guide local nonprofit funding. Learn how to build strong relationships and partnerships to secure your nonprofit's fundraising future. Plus, get information on how board engagement and stewardship can increase the success of your funding requests.

The Forum is sponsored by the Academy for Nonprofit Excellence, which is a partnership between Tidewater Community College and the community foundation.

Giving BlackĀ® Hampton Roads

August is Black Philanthropy Month. To celebrate, the Hampton Roads Community Foundation released the Giving BlackĀ® Hampton Roads report.

It takes a closer look into the patterns of Black donors. Nonprofit organizations can use the information to deepen relationships with the Black community and build trust.

Tips for engaging Black donors:
  • Talk to Black donors and prospective donors about their interests.
  • Find ways to invite and include Black donors in your organization.
  • Work collaboratively to identify community needs and solutions.
