Meet the new History Communication Fellows at the Lepage Center
As the Lepage Center executes its mission to bring historical scholarship and perspective to bear on contemporary issues, communication with external audiences is a key component of the work. When activists become lawmakers
A slew of unconventional candidates have entered congressional races in 2018, and several are activists lacking prior experience as candidates. Should they win, they will have to make the transition from activist outsiders to savvy legislators.
Many activists of 1968 ran for Congress a few years later, and found themselves as new lawmakers in 1974. In a new
piece on our blog, congressional historian
John Lawrence writes that today's legislators may find it useful to study the lessons of the '68 reformers.

This month the Lepage Center welcomes a new staff member: Genevieve "Genny" Waldman.
Genny began on October 1st as the Lepage Center's new administrative and program specialist. Her prior experiences include the Philadelphia Phillies, Update Legal, and Cube Global Software. She will be a great asset to the Center as we seek to expand our operations and programming. Look for more information about Genny in future newsletters.
