Q: What projects have you worked on that are particularly memorable?
Last year I exhibited 34 of my paintings at the ZOcean Hotel in Miami's South Beach, during Art Basel, an international art fair featuring galleries, artists and curators of modern and contemporary art, and was fortunate to sell 4 of my works.
Q: What is something people might not know about you?
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and raised on a farm. I was a kindergarden teacher until I came to the U.S, and taught English while I went to UC Berkeley in San Francisco.
Q: What do you think is an underused feature of the library?
The art gallery. The visual arts are the simplest form of communication. A child, or someone who does not speak, read or write our language, can respond to an image and the library has this fantastic venue. I have been painting for over 30 years, and when
I see an artist's body of work and really understand his/her creative process, I want to make sure that the message is well displayed at the gallery.
