We're thrilled to introduce you to Kourtney, a new NLAI missionary who began with us earlier this month.
February 2019
Meet our Newest Missionary:
Kourtney Nance
NLCH Independence Program Coordinator
What brought you to NLAI?
I have lived and served in Guatemala for two and a half years, serving in another home in another part of the country. As my time of service in that home came to an end, I felt like the Lord was inviting me to continue  serving with the children of Guatemala. Through a series of connections in the USA and Guatemala, I got in contact with the leadership of New Life and it seemed like a good fit from the start!

Tell us about your education and ministry experience.
I am a graduate of The University of North Texas and, before moving to Guatemala, served as preschool minister at The Village Church Denton for 10 years. I worked at a fellow Guatemalan children's home for two and a half years and began at NLCH in early February 2019.

What is/will be your main role with NLAI?
I am serving at NLCH with the older teenagers and young adults. I will implement and oversee our Independence Program, which starts at age 13 and continues until young adults are ready to move away from the home and live thriving, independent lives.

How can we pray for you?
As I make this transition to NLAI, pray that the Lord would continue to give me a clear vision for how He would have me serve His children in Guatemala.
