A Message From Liza
It’s hard to believe we’re already well into August. While summer may be winding down, there is still plenty happening at The Guilford Foundation and throughout our community. We’re excited to welcome three new members to our Board of Directors and to announce the recipients of our third and final round of sponsorship awards for the year. Our Operating Appeal also continues, and we are grateful to those who know how important it is to sustain our capacity to serve.
We’re also welcoming two new summer interns, Guilford High School rising seniors Kaelyn Bruce and Elizabeth Reale. At the same time, we say a very fond goodbye to Clara Cruz and Lorelai Huben, who have made an impact with TGF and our Youth Advisory Group. We’re excited for the next step in their journey as Clara heads to Skidmore College and Lorelai to Providence College.
And there’s still plenty of summer left to enjoy. Head to the beach, pick your own peaches at Bishop's Orchards, grab an ice cream cone from The Wave, and enjoy the final Sunday concerts on the Green. Our community calendar is packed with events hosted by the nonprofits and organizations that make Guilford such a vibrant place to live.
As always, thank you for being part of our community and for your continued support of the Foundation.

Meet Our Three New Board Members
The Guilford Foundation is pleased to welcome Diana Caty, Jeanmarie Cooper, and Pam Ellman to our Board of Directors. Each brings a different perspective and depth of experience, along with a shared commitment to strengthening the community they call home.
Diana combines a diverse legal career with her experience as co-founder of Traveling Toys, a nonprofit that has established toy lending libraries throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island, and even Ukraine. Jeanmarie brings a background in finance and more than 25 years of nonprofit leadership and volunteer service. Pam, an attorney and longtime community volunteer, is already familiar with TGF through her service on our Community Investment Committee and currently chairs the Guilford Human Services Council.
We are grateful to have these incredible women who bring their talents, experience, and enthusiasm to the Foundation. Check out the website to get to know them and the other community members who volunteer their time and expertise on our Board of Directors

Thank You for Strengthening The Guilford Foundation
Our Operating Appeal is about much more than keeping the lights on. It's about ensuring the Foundation has the people, technology, and resources needed to serve our community with care, responsiveness, and integrity every day.
We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has already made a gift. Thanks to your generosity, we're about halfway toward our goal of raising the approximately $200,000 needed each year to support the Foundation's operations. In a community known for its generosity and big heart, we're continually inspired by the trust you place in our work.
If you haven't had the opportunity to participate yet, there's still time. Every gift, regardless of size, strengthens our ability to steward charitable funds, support local nonprofits, and respond to the evolving needs of our community. We hope you'll take a moment to watch our short message of thanks and, if you're able, consider making a gift to our 2026 Operating Appeal.
